Vandalizer 4.10 Patch Notes

Vandalizer 4.10 is now available

The short version: nothing about your day-to-day has changed. Your workflows, extractions, documents, and saved work carry over exactly as they are. There’s nothing new to learn and nothing to redo.

This release is mostly about making the system more honest with you:

  • You’ll know when something goes wrong. A failed step could previously finish marked “Completed,” with the error saved as the result. Failures are now clearly marked, and you get a notification.
  • See where a number came from. Click any extracted value to jump to the exact passage and page in the source — or be told plainly when it can’t be traced.
  • Faster uploads, and Word and Markdown are now available whether you download a result or save it to a folder.

For your Admins: if you’re the one choosing which models to enable or budgeting for usage, there’s a new interactive Cost Estimator: pick a workload level, a model, and a user count, and it estimates monthly LLM spend per research administrator. It also has a section on sizing your own GPU hardware if you’re weighing self-hosting. Find it at https://vandalizer.uidaho.edu/docs  → Cost Estimator in the sidebar.

For your IT team: 137 changes from 5 contributors since the last release — 13 new capabilities, 7 improvements, and 39 fixes across 294 files.
