AI4RA Tip of The Week #16

Collaboration is Key
If you’re receiving this email, you’re an official member of the AI4RA Community of Practice, a listserv connecting research administrators, IT personnel, data scientists, and AI engineers from across the country. With AI evolving as fast as it does, having a community to turn to with questions, ideas, and hard-won lessons makes a real difference.

How to use this resource
Ask a question. Email main@groups.ai4ra.uidaho.edu with your question. After moderator approval, your message will reach hundreds of AI4RA community members nationwide.
Answer a question. Just reply to any thread. Your expertise may be exactly what someone else needs.
Share your story. Questions aren’t the only thing worth sharing. Tell us about your successes, your missteps, and how you got there. Every experience helps the community learn and grow together.

What are the rules?
To keep our community safe, productive, and collaborative, please follow these guidelines:

  1. Keep posts relevant to AI, data science, and research administration
  2. No job announcements or job recruitments
  3. Engage with the community respectfully: No swearing or personal attacks
  4. Assume good faith: Our community includes a range of expertise from beginner to expert
  5. Avoid gatekeeping: Avoid assuming everyone has the same tools, budget, or technical background
  6. Credit sources when sharing other people’s work
  7. Respect confidentiality of sensitive information and data
  8. Do not post personally identifiable information (PII), student/research subject data, or anything covered by FERPA, HIPAA, or your institution’s data policies
  9. If sharing AI-generated content, note that it’s AI-generated, especially for guidance, summaries, or recommendations others might rely on
  10. To avoid spamming the rest of the community, only use the “reply all” button if your response should be shared with everyone, otherwise use “reply”

Moderators reserve the right to redirect off-topic threads or remove posts that violate these guidelines. Report concerns to ai4ra@uidaho.edu
