Vandalizer 4.8 Released

Vandalizer 4.8 has just released: Here are the major changes

Your Knowledge Bases Are More Reliable

PDFs now upload and process correctly every time — no more silent failures. Answers also come with clickable citations so you can see exactly where they came from. And if a question isn’t covered by your documents, the assistant can now say “I don’t know” instead of guessing. A random connection error that used to pop up here and there has also been fixed.

Trials Are Friendlier

If your trial expires, you’ll now see a clear renewal page instead of a confusing error. Password/login recovery links are more reliable too.

Small Everyday Improvements

  • Add a Knowledge Base directly from the chat box
  • Shared links now let people actually run things, not just look at them
  • Easier filtering and more consistent labels throughout the app
  • Certain staff can now access admin tools like audit logs without needing full admin rights

New: Optional, Anonymous Usage Tracking

Vandalizer can now send a simple daily check-in to help the team understand how many organizations are using it. It’s off by default, and even when turned on, it only shares a random ID, the version number, and a rough usage range (e.g. “11–50 users”) – never any documents, names, or sensitive data. IT teams have full control over this setting.

Behind the Scenes

Upgrading is simple and safe (automatic backup included), and the team fixed a few technical bugs to make the system more stable overall.
